ECCB Hosts Annual Development Conference
Basseterre, September 28, 2001 Social Capital and Economic Development is the theme of the sixth annual development conference to be hosted by the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) at its auditorium in St Kitts on October 8 and 9, 2001. During the two days, some one hundred conference participants from across the region will discuss presentations by officials from the University of the West Indies, the World Bank and the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank. Among the topics for discussion are: The Education System and The Building of Social Capital in Small States; The impact of Social Capital on Development; Social Development and Poverty, and Migration Networks: The Trans-Nationalisation of Social Capital..
