CARICOM BANK SUPERVISORS TO MEET
Basseterre, May 11, 2001 The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank will host the 19th Caricom Bank Supervisors Conference at Ocean Terrace Inn on May 17 - 19, 2001. Among the topics to be examined at the two-day conference are recent developments in regulating the offshore banking sector and the lessons learned from supervisory intervention. Delegates will also discuss issues pertaining to globalisation, including the impact of technological change and non-traditional banking products on banking operations. The Caricom Bank Supervisors Conference, which is held annually, attracts both regional and international central banking officials.
