Dr Valda F Henry officially took office as the Bank’s third Deputy Governor on 20 September 2021.

A native of the Commonwealth of Dominica, she is is a Chartered Financial Analyst with a PhD in Industrial Relations and Business, a Master’s in Business Administration, a Bachelors in Management and a Bachelors in Law. She holds formal qualifications in Financial Analysis and Planning, Governance and Business Management.

Dr Henry is a Certified  Global Professional in Human Resources, Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified  Professional (SHRM-SCP) and an Accredited Director. She is also a Certified  ProNet Trainer and a Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Practioner  and a Certified  "Train the Trainer" for lnfoDev and the Woman Innovators Network in the Caribbean (WINC).

Dr Henry brings a wealth of experience to her role with over twenty (20) years’ experience in the public, private and financial sectors.  She is the Founder, CEO and Principal Trainer of VF Consulting Inc, an HR consulting firm which she started in 2005. She served as a Senior Investment Officer at the ECCB from 1994-1998 and played an instrumental role in the restructuring of the Investment Unit and the development of the Investment Management Framework of the Bank.
