The 2018-2019 Competition focused on Essay Writing. Students had to write on one of the following topics:
- Towards a Cashless Society: challenges, opportunities and the realities for the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union.
- For the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union to become economically viable, we must strive towards financial sustainability through technology. Discuss.
The following were the terms of the competitition:
- Students in the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) member countries aged 13 - 19 were eligible to participate.
- Essays had to be between 750 and 1,000 words, typed, double spaced on letter size paper, with a separate cover sheet giving details of the name, age, and school attended by the participant. Click here for cover sheet.
- Essays were judged in two categories: participants aged 13 - 16 and 17 - 19 and were assessed for content and soundness of points (20), logical development (20), clarity (20), knowledge of the subject (25), command of language (10), presentation (5).

Winners of the 2018 - 2019 Competition
