Current Cheque Clearing Process
- The ECACHSI operates the Eastern Caribbean Automated Clearing House (ECACH) which supports the clearings of retail transactions initiated by commercial banks under the authority of the ECCB
- Requires no physical exchange of cheques
- Net positions are settled using accounts held at the Central Bank.
- Two low value cheque clearing settlement sessions are effected at 9:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. daily.
- VIP cheques valued at XCD150,000.00 and over are cleared from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m
