ECCU Financial Literacy Schools Artwork Contest

Contest Details:
The ECCU Financial Literacy Schools Artwork Contest is open to primary and secondary students in public or private schools of the ECCB area. The contest will provide lasting images of money management and investing by allowing young people to explore these concepts through art.

The objective of the contest is to increase financial literacy among the region's youth and the wider community. Students must submit original works of art.

Entries can be a painting, drawing, collage, piece of sculpture, or a multimedia project, embodying the theme "Manage Your Money…..Live Your Dreams".

Students will be judged on a regional basis within the following categories:

Primary Level
Category I - Kindergarten to Grade 3
Category II - Grades 4 to 6

Secondary Level
Category III - Form I to Form III
Category IV - Form IV to Form VI

The winner in each category will receive an education grant valued at EC$500.00. A computer valued in excess of EC$3,000.00 will be awarded to the secondary schools associated with the winning entries, and a grant of EC$500.00 for art supplies to the primary schools associated with the winning entries. The school submitting the most entries will also receive a computer.

In addition to the prizes afforded the winning selections and associated schools, each artist will receive an individual acknowledgement of his or her artwork, and will be mentioned on the ECCB's website www.eccb-centralbank.org. The artwork from each artist may also be featured in a regional travelling exhibition promoting the concepts of savings and investments.


General Rules
Contestants must be 18 years or younger.
All artwork must be submitted to the ECCB Headquarters, P O Box 89, Basseterre, St Kitts or to the ECCB Agency Office in your territory by 10 October 2008.
Entries must reflect an understanding of the theme.
A panel of judges will narrow the submitted entries at the national level and a second panel of judges will select the winning entries from among the region. There will be ONE regional winner in each category.
Artists may submit multiple entries.
Each artists of the Financial Literacy Schools Art Contest agrees to assign all copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property rights to the ECCU Financial Literacy Schools Artwork Contest.
Winners will be contacted by 28 November 2008.

Indicate whether it is an Individual or Group Entry.
Name of Parent(s) and or Guardian(s).
Home Address.
Home Phone Number.
E-Mail Address (if you have one).
Name of School.
Address of School.
Category.
Title for Artwork.
A Brief Description (about three to four lines) of the Concept of the Artwork.
Materials Used to Construct Artwork.
