FINANCIAL AND ECONOMIC JOURNALISM AWARDS 2003/2004
In October 2002, the ECCB launched a Financial and Economic Journalism Awards competition. The competition was intended to motivate media specialists to excellence in reporting financial and economic stories, and to recognise their contribution to a better understanding of these matters.

Evered “Webbo” Herbert of Voice of Nevis Radio and the Government Information Service - Dominica shared the award for Feature Reporting in the ECCB’s Financial and Economic Journalism Competition 2003/2004.

The submission by Evered Herbert of Von Radio “Let’s Talk,” an interactive panel discussion on Budget, Finance and Taxes explained the importance of budgeting, and the factors taken into consideration in compiling national budgets. The submission by The Government Information Service - Dominica “Your Budget, My Budget” provided an informative and interesting discussion on the inner workings of the national budget and the individual’s personal budget.
