The ECCU Primary Schools Mentorship Programme
In this initiative, the ECCB has partnered with other financial institutions and the Ministries of Finance and Education within the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union to provide support systems for the youth to help prepare them for life and work. Within the two key areas of (i) financial education and (ii) social skills development, the programme seeks to develop the students’ understanding of everyday financial and economic issues. It also focuses on other subject areas important to their overall development by means of interactive discussions and activities.
The programme began in 2007 with the adoption of Grade 4 classes in the eight member countries and has expanded to include students in Grades 5 and 6. (CLICK HERE FOR THE ADOBE FLASH VERSION)
