11th Sir Arthur Lewis Memorial Lecture and Awards Ceremony
                                                 13 November 2006

Sir George Alleyne, Chancellor of the University of the West Indies delivered the ECCB’s 11th Sir Arthur Lewis Memorial Lecture in St Kitts on Monday 13 November 2006.

In his lecture entitled “Increasing the Range of Human Choice—the Case for Health", Sir George called to the public and private sector and to Caribbean citizens to view health as a necessary precursor to personal and economic development. Stressing on the issue of prevention through dietary and lifestyle changes, he challenged all to alter the environment that is conducive to cardiovascular and other diseases.
