Lecturer: Marius St Rose
Marius St. Rose is currently Group Managing Director of the East Caribbean Financial Holding Co Ltd, the parent company of the Bank of St Lucia Ltd. He had been seconded from his position as Vice President (Operations) of the Barbados-based Caribbean Development Bank (CDB).
During his 23 years with the CDB Mr St. Rose has held the positions of Economist, Assistant Director, Deputy Director and Director of the Economics and Programming Department. He was Vice President (Operations) from 1988, with responsibility for technical assistance and project lending, country economic analysis and programming, corporate policy and planning, and project review and quality control. He has also been Chairman of CDB's Committees on Loans, Training and Pension Fund Trustees and a member of CDB's Advisory Council to the President, and to the Investment, Job Evaluation and Technology Committees.

Prior to his appointment with CDB, Mr St. Rose worked as Manager of Projects and Research at the National Housing Corportion in Jamaica. He also worked as a Research Officer with the National Savings Committee in that country after having worked as a Research Assistant with the Institute of Social and Economic Research, University of the West Indies.

Mr St. Rose received his foundation education in the primary schools and teaching service in Saint Lucia and later attended the University of the West Indies where he obtained a Masters Degree in Economics and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management.
