ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE OF THE BANK

The organisational structure of the Bank has three dimensions.

(i) The Governor’s Office, the Internal Audit Department and the Strategic Planning and Policy Department which report directly to the Governor.

(ii) The Policy and Operations Departments which report to the Deputy Governor.

These are:
• Research Department
• Bank Supervision Department
• Financial and Enterprise Development Department
• Banking and Monetary Operations Department
• Currency Management Department

(iii) The Administration Departments which report to the Managing Director.

These are:
• Corporate Relations Department*
• Human Resource Department
• Accounting Department
• Management Information Systems Department
• Support Services Management Department.

*Agency Offices
The ECCB has Agency Offices located in each member territory outside of its Headquarters in St Kitts. The Agency Offices are part of the Corporate Relations Department. In addition to the core responsibilities of the Department, the Agency Offices have additional duties which include:

• Management of the clearing arrangements
• Foreign Exchange
• Issue and redemption of currency
• Monitoring developments in the member territories
• Transmitting information to the Bank on developments in the territory
• Monitoring the implementation of the policy directives from the Bank.
